  • 8-10 slices of your favorite bread, halved
  • 2 apples, thinly sliced
  • 75g dates, chopped
  • 6 teaspoons of maple syrup
  • 350ml milk of your choice
  • 1 can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons cornflour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • a bunch of Cinnamon Toffee Almonds


Step 1: Start by giving your ovenproof dish a good dose of love with some grease. Arrange half of the bread slices on the base evenly.

Step 2: Now, it’s time to layer on the goodness. Sprinkle half of the thinly sliced apples, cinnamon toffee almonds and chopped dates over the bread. Drizzle 3 teaspoons of maple syrup like a sweet artist.

Step 3: Play the layering game again – the remaining bread slices, apples, cinnamon toffee almonds, dates, and the last bit of maple syrup. Go ahead, make it look like a dessert Picasso!

Step 4: In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, condensed milk, cornflour, cinnamon, and vanilla. Pour this liquid gold over the entire dish and let it soak up the magic for 30 minutes.
